Team Italia start morgen vanaf de vierde rij met een respectievelijke 10de plaats voor Tonucci en een 11de plaats voor Fenati. Na drie moeilijke trainingen mede door slechte weersomstandigheden was het een mooie kwalificatie in het zonnetje. Eindelijk konden beide rijders met slicks rijden. Fenati crashte in het begin van de kwalificatiesessie gelukkig zonder consequenties. Hij kon snel weer de baan op om aan zijn kwalificatie te werken. Helaas kwam de kleine Italiaan die morgen strijd om de beste Rookie of the Year niet verder dan een 11de positie. Hopelijk blijft het morgen droog dan kunnen we misschien nog spektakel verwachten in de laatste race. Succes Romano.

“The new tarmac and the sunny weather gave me good vibes. Unfortunately I had a crash during the early phases, and lost precious time. But the team was fantastic and quickly got me back on the bike. I had only a few laps to improve my position, and I could have done even better. I know I can do well tomorrow, and I want to wrap up the season with a great result.”

“It’s been a positive qualifying session. Our riders are on fourth row but close to the Top 5. Given the weather, we all had little time to prepare the race, but we’ll try to improve during warm-up. Both riders have a good pace and, if the weather won’t be so uncertain, the team can aim at another great performance.”
