Voor het Team Italia was het niet zo een succesvol weekend. Beide rijders hadden het erg moeilijk. Tonu en Fenny konden niet echt naar voren schuiven en kwamen in een grote groep terecht daar waar het moeilijk was om een vaste plaats te behouden. Aan het einde van de race was het niet mogelijk om zich staande te houden en beide rijders verloren snel een aantal plaatsen waardoor er dit weekend geen punten konden worden bijgeschreven. Volgende week een nieuwe kans voor de jonge Italianen, dan staat de GP van Australië op het programma.

“We were not lucky today. I lost the seat after a few laps as I touched with another rider, and had to adapt my riding style. Together with our setup problems, I couldn’t do much more even if both me and the team pushed very hard. I don’t know Phillip Island, but it seems a fascinating track and I hope to be able to adapt myself quickly.”
